Another PartyPail Tip - Baby Shower Centerpieces

When decorating for a baby shower, centerpieces can help "pull a room together" but tying different tables and locations in a room together with a single theme, and giving each table it's own unique "themed" decorating focal point. When selecting centerpeices for your tables, keep in mind the following tips:

• Select a centerpiece with the proper size and height for your application. As an example, when placing centerpieces banquet tables, you may want to keep the height below 16" so that it does not overly disrupt visual sight lines for the guests, and disrupt the ability to carry on conversations, see other activities, etc. When using a baby shower centerpeice on a gift table, you may want a larger centerpeice, or one that is taller or propped up on a pedastle of some type. A bouquet of balloons and diaper cakes are great choices for taller centerpeices. Another idea is to place the centerpiece on a pedastel. Wrapping a box in a coordinating solid color wrapping paper, and placing the centerpiece on top is an inexpensive way to boost the height of your centerpiece.
• Incorporate "useful" centerpices. A great example is the centerpiece in our Red Wagon/Radio Flyer baby shower theme. The miniature red wagon can be a useful tabletop item. You can use it as a serving dish for food, or to hold tableware, or you can place favors in it. Consider using color coordinating buckets, vases, or even take out containers with fun decorations in them for your centerpeices.
