Some basic etiquette tips for sending your baby shower thank you cards:

• Try to get the thank you cards in the mail as quickly as possible. Sometimes the baby's arrival might interfere, so try to find some quiet time as quickly as you can to send them out.
• Be specific in the thank you - mention the specific gift given and tell the giver why you like it or how you intend to use it.
• If the baby comes early and interferes with your sending out a thank you note immediately, don't sweat it - people will understand. Ask one of your family or friends to help by addressing some envelopes and getting stamps on them. You can then write the notes, and slip them into the envelope - and they are on their way.
