Host a Basketball Theme Event with Winning Party Supplies, Team Decorations, and Fun Favors!
Basketball is a fun sport for both boys and girls of all ages that helps develop hand-eye coordination and teamwork skills! If you've decided to host a Basketball theme party for a kids birthday, team celebration or any other event, we've put together some fun ideas to assist you in scoring a slam dunk!
The Basketball party supplies set a universal scene that can easily incorporate decorations from your guest of honor's favorite basketball team, giving the party a personalized touch. A fun idea is to add team posters and pennants to the walls along with the party decorations like basketball shaped cutouts, or stand a life size cardboard cutout of a favorite basketball player for a great birthday party photo op!
This Party Theme Calls for Concession Food Served on Basketball Party Supplies!
Play on the theme when you serve a concession style menu at your birthday or basketball event like you would find at your favorite team arena! Menu items like hot dogs, nachos, and chili fries are fun choices that will bring the aroma of the game to your party! Serve all your game day food using the basketball party supplies.
Basketball Theme Games Provide Birthday Party Entertainment!
We can't think of a better way to provide entertainment than actually playing the game itself! If the kids are older, break them into teams for a court-style competition, or play these fun basketball party games:
Free Throw Competition:
Mark a free throw line for each participant to stand at and have several basketballs on hand. If the birthday party is for younger children you may want to use a bucket for the hoop with a smaller size ball. Give each person 60 seconds to shoot their free throws while counting the winning baskets. The participant with the most points wins!
Draw numbers to determine the participant's playing order. The first player shoots the basketball from anywhere they choose on the court. If the ball goes in, all the players have to make the basket from the same spot. If a player misses, they receive an "O." If another shot is missed, they receive a "U" and finally a "T" when the 3rd shot is missed, fouling them "OUT" of the game. If the first player misses a shot, the second player takes the lead shooting position and so forth. The last player shooting wins the game!
