How to Host a Tiny Toes Pink Inspired Baby Shower Spa Party!
Our new Tiny Toes Pink Baby Shower pattern has quickly become one of our most popular designs! Inspired by the image of baby’s footprints memorialized on birth certificates, in pastel shades of pink, lavender and fashion-forward brown, the Tiny Toes Pink Baby Shower pattern is sure to be a classic.
If you want to incorporate the 'tiny toes pink' theme into your shower and do something unique, consider hosting the shower at a spa where all the guests can get their own perfect tiny toes! If your budget allows (or if you are co-hosting and can split the cost), and your guest list leans toward the smaller side (say, under 10 guests), then this would be a fabulous way for your guests to come relax, catch up on girl talk and treat themselves, all while celebrating baby! This type of shower would be perfect for a mom-to-be that, while wanting to celebrate her pregnancy and upcoming arrival, doesn’t really want to be the center of attention.
Many spas/nail salons can be reserved for a set period of time in exchange for the host covering the cost of services performed. You can offer your guests a selection of services to choose from that keep the shower within your budget. The spa/nail salon might even offer you a group discount. Ask about policy ahead of time and select one that also allows you to set out a small table for food, drinks and dessert.
Decorations can be kept simple because the focus will be on the services provided. A simple balloon bouquet for the table made with a combination of our Tiny Toes Foil, Precious Bear Pink, and color-coordinating solid balloons would be a nice centerpiece for the food/dessert table. Lay down our Tiny Toes Pink Table Cover and set the table with a combination of our Tiny Toes and solid-colored table ware.
When deciding on a menu, choose foods that can be prepared ahead of time and transport easily. Visit your local grocery store and inquire about purchasing pre-made food that comes on its own serving tray. Most deli’s now offer serving trays of meats & cheeses, sandwiches, fruit and vegetables. Make it easy on yourself – just order, pick up and deliver!
For dessert, if you want to serve something besides cake, make sugar cookie cut-outs using our Pitter-Patter of Little Feet Cookie Cutters. Decorate in color-coordinating frosting and sprinkles and arrange on a decorative tray. For the chocolate lovers, bake a batch of brownies in a 9x13 baking pan (you want to use a bigger baking pan vs. a smaller one so the batter bakes up thinner). Line the pan with a sheet of parchment paper (with a little bit hanging over the edge on each side) before pouring in the batter. When the brownies are done baking and have cooled, simply lift them out by grabbing each side of the parchment paper. Then use the cookie cutters to cut out little feet shaped brownies! Dessert is done!
For beverages, inquire ahead of time to find out what the spa provides their guests with (many offer bottled mineral water, coffee and tea). If they do, then you can cross these selections off your list! Consider using a galvanized aluminum tub (with stand); it’s easy to transport and can be filled with ice and an assortment of bottled beverages on site. A cooler works too, of course, but may not be as pretty to look at! Or, bring punch supplies to the spa and mix the punch there – just don’t forget the punch bowl!
Send each guest home with a small treat box. Our Tiny Toes Pink Favor Bags are just the right size to put theme-inspired treats in: a bottle of pink nail polish, a small tube of foot crème, and a handful of candy, like our Fingers and Toes Buttermints.
